Special Canada Day for the Rodriguez Family

In September 2016 Ms. Danna May Rodriguez, started attending school in Canada as International Student. She moved to Canada together with her husband and 4 year old son.

They are now Permanent Residents!

Special Canada Day for the Rodriguez Family

The key to easily transition from Study Permit to PR Status is knowing your PR pathway even before you land in Canada. There are more than 60 pathways to become a permanent resident in Canada. There are Federal Programs and there are Provincial Programs. Each program is different. These are things that an Eduction Agent alone will not discuss to you. You need an experienced immigration consultant to properly guide you. Don't be a victim of Education Trafficking.

They are both Registered Nurses. While Ms. Danna was studying, her husband was working full time as Care Aide. Their son attended school for Free!

On their18th month in Canada, while they were still temporary residents, they were very happy to receive the first monthly allowance for their son from Canadian Government. That's around CAD 700/month.

As soon as her husband, Sir Ar-Jay Rodriguez, completed the 2 years experience as a Care Aide, we immediately processed his application for Permanent Residence and 4 months after, they were granted the Permanent Resident Status.

Few days from now, they will be celebrating Canada Day extra special!

The process to become a PR in Canada from Study Permit isn't easy. But with the right information, guide and support, it will at least lessen the stress you will experience along the way.

If you are also planning to study in Canada with the end in view of applying for permanent residence, we can help you. Take this FREE Online Assessment to start the process.

The Rural and Northern Immigration Pilot is a community-driven program. It’s designed to spread the benefits of economic immigration to smaller communities by creating a path to permanent residence for skilled foreign workers who want to work and live in 1 of the participating communities.

In this post, we will talk about Altona/Rhineland (Manitoba).

Immigrate to Altona/Rhineland, The Rural and Northern Immigration Pilot (RNIP)

The Region of Altona/Rhineland, also being referred to as RPGA (Rhineland, Plum Coulee, Gretna, Altona) region is located in the Southern part of Manitoba.

Before you apply, be very sure to read first this community's specific criteria set by SEED.

If you are interested to immigrate to Manitoba through the Rural and Immigration Pilot, here's how it works:

  1. You Create a  “candidate profile” on SEED’s website and apply for any job postings that meets your past work experience and education and ensure you have the ability to carry out the job duties and responsibilities listed.  You have the option to set up career alert(s) automatically notifying you by email of job opportunities matching your criteria, as they become available. Use this template in preparing your resume.
  2. SEED forwards your resume to the employer
  3. The Employer then conducts normal hiring practices, such as reviewing the resume, conduct interview & reference checks
  4. Upon satisfaction, the employer provides an Offer of Employment to the successful applicant & provides a copy of the offer to SEED
  5. SEED will provide the applicant with Schedule 1 – Rural and Northern Immigration Pilot and Community Recommendation Questions documents to complete and upload online in “candidate profile” in addition to all supporting documents in order apply for community recommendation
  6. SEED will verify the Offer of Employment & Community Recommendation Application documentation
  7. Once SEED ensures all the documentation is in order, the Vetting Committee assesses the priority factors and the top-ranking candidates move onto further assessment including an applicant interview to ensure they intend to reside in the community.
  8. SEED will provide the applicant who have received a positive assessment from the Vetting Committee with community recommendation
  9. The applicant then submits a Permanent Residence application to IRCC & is assessed against federal selection criteria & admissibility requirements
  10. Once IRCC confirms that the application is complete, the applicant and their family members (if applicable) can apply for a work permit and, if approved, may come to Canada while the application for permanent residence is being processed
  11. The employer and community welcomes the applicant and provides services to support their settlement and integration
Here'a a video to give you an idea how is it like in Gretna.

And here's her feedback about her experience with Canadian Immigration Consultancy - Gateway to Canada:

"my experience here 100/100 they gave the best service, they do everything for u from scratch and they gave the best advice that can possibly happen for u in the future. I love how everyone was approachable if u need something to clarify to, they also respond through email really quickly and i loved it. everyone was friendly && they gave u the best service that u can have. i highly recommend this to someone who wants to start something new and live in abroad if u want to start there and don’t know anything how to apply etc.. they will help u and guide through it all and now as an international student they helped me to get to my dream school and i am thankful for that."
